Liam Black Before co-founding Wavelength, Liam had a 15 year CEO career, latterly with the Jamie Oliver Group. He helped create and advises two innovation investment funds and is mentor to a number of business leaders and entrepreneurs. Liam has written two books, the most recent of which is The Entrepreneur’s A to Z: On Anxiety, Leadership and Getting Enough Sleep.

Adrian Simpson has been running study tours and events for almost two decades – featuring some of the world’s most admired and successful companies including Apple, Google, NASA, Cisco and Bang & Olufsen. Speakers at events he has organised have included: Al Gore, Kevin Spacey, Jamie Oliver, Bob Geldof, Tom Peters and Greg Dyke.

Jessica Stack runs our Connect leadership development programme, overseeing all aspects from plotting the learning journey of Members through the six months of Connect to the design of each individual event. She began her career as a set and costume designer in the theatre before transferring her skills and vision to the Events industry. At Wavelength, she also oversees the finances, governance, brand and our great people.

Heather chairs the Wavelength board as our non-exec. After a decade in top jobs in Whitehall and then local and regional government, she jumped ship in the early 2000s to become a partner in Deloitte. There she set up a series of strategy businesses, ran the firm’s biggest single client (London 2012) and spent eight years as Managing Partner for Innovation and Brand, plus a stint in global leadership. We got to know Heather at Deloitte through her relentless focus on responsible business and thinking differently. Now, she has a portfolio of non-exec roles, including Chair of the Food Standards Agency, a non-Ministerial government dept, and in sport, education and rural affairs. She lives Up North and loves our early Monday morning board schedule.

Graham had a cross-sector career before joining the board of Wavelength in late 2016. Graham was previously a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank and the UK Country Head for Global Transaction Banking. He also created and implemented DB’s ground-breaking Social Impact Fund. Graham spent four years as Chief Executive of London’s Air Ambulance, the charity that delivers life-saving trauma care to the capital. He is also a non-executive director for Resonance Ltd, a leading provider of aligned capital to social enterprises. At Wavelength, Graham has principal responsibility for the Speaker Bureau.
