WAVELENGTH SOCIAL ENTERPRISE IMMERSIONS

"Wavelength are great to work with. They delivered a highly engaging and cleverly constructed event which met all my requirements. The group were highly involved and inspired and the social enterprise immersion was one of the most popular momentum experiences we have offered. We'll definitely be working with these guys again!"
- Julius James, Executive Director UBS Ascent Program EMEA

What is a Social Enterprise?

Within the non-profit world there exists a rapidly growing new sector that unlike traditional charities is not reliant upon philanthropy or donations to achieve their social goals.

Rather, they operate in competitive markets, trade goods and services, and generate sufficient income to be self-sustaining and scale. Moreover, they seek not only to meet one, but a triple bottom line: financial, social and often environmental.

As such these social enterprises have much in common with the private sector.

What Are Social Enterprise Immersions?

Wavelength’s Social Immersion Days provide your leaders with access to the heart of the nation’s most impactful and imaginative social enterprises.

These powerful, highly experiential experiences will confront your leaders with the realities of a changing world whilst demonstrating what it takes to run business which must not only make money but bring about a measurable social or environmental impact.

You and your people will be inspired, challenged, moved and called to action. You will meet the founders and frontline staff. They will share their visions and business models as well as what’s keeping them awake at night.

These are not sight seeing events or csr/community activities. Your social enterprise hosts will ask you and your team to work on one their most challenging strategic business challenges.

If your leadership challenge is how to help your people learn to cope in difficult times or you are looking for something to inspire and challenge your emerging leaders and top talent, then a Wavelength immersion could be just the job.

Feedback from previous Immersions

A recent immersion provided 20 UBS high potential leaders with a highly participative encounter with the founder and leadership of Belu, the award winning bottled water business which gives all its profits to clean water projects in developing countries.

"The afternoon was incredibly worthwhile from the explanation of the joint ventures and successes occurring now to the potential involvement both UBS and I could have personally leveraging the introductions made via Wavelength.

The opportunity to be exposed to Belu and assist them with suggestions and recommendations for a real time issue was both empowering and incredibly rewarding.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day and the opportunity to speak to staff at Belu which was very inspiring and very different to any leadership training courses I have attended in the past.

The day ended with dinner at Fifteen. As well as a great dinner, participants enjoyed a behind the scenes look at the running of Jamie Oliver’s social enterprise restaurant."
