Leading The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company global Human Resources division from 2000, Sue provided strategic direction to a human resources organisation that strengthened the culture of employee engagement and a best-in-class work environment. During this period of rapid global growth, Sue expanded the “Serve With Purpose” philosophy. The company has received multiple Great Place to Work awards; accolades for world-class customer service; and was recognised for its exceptional employee and customer engagement results.
From 2007, Sue was charged with developing and integrating global citizenship and social innovation strategies into the company’s service culture, business operations, and success metrics. During her tenure, Community Footprints was recognised with multiple awards including two “World Saver” awards and the Points of Light Institute’s “Corporate Engagement Award of Excellence”.
In 2016, Sue was recognised as one of the “Top 100 Most Impactful CSR Leaders in the World”.
